Sounds a lot, but remember your day can be as lavish or as simple as YOU want.

  • I care and I listen. I want to make sure your special day is just how you want it. I’ll fill out all the legal paperwork for you and make everything as easy as possible. I am lucky to have helped grow 3 independent, happy, unique adult children who have taught me much. I have also successfully worked with people of all ages, nationalities and interests. I’m not easily shocked, don’t judge, am good in an emergency, am flexible, have a good humour, love themes and dress-ups, think outside the box and most of all, I’m kind.

  • There are a few pages but I will ask you questions and fill it out for you. You just need to check the filled papers over for typo’s and sign them when I tell you it’s time.

    The documents are:

    • Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) - this must be signed by both partners at least one full calendar month before the wedding.

    • Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage (DONLIM).

    • Official Certificate of Marriage.

    • Marriage Certificate Application Form.

  • We sign the NOIM, the DONLIM and the Application for the Registered Official Marriage Certificate before the wedding.

Then we sign the Commemorative Marriage Certificate and two Official Certificates of Marriage at the wedding (this is what is meant by signing the register).

I give the Commemorative Marriage Certificate to you, then lodge all the other signed documents with the Department of Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) to be registered. To save you more work I include your Application for the Registered Marriage Certificate with payment of $58 plus postage. The BDM will then send your Registered Certificate to you after a couple of weeks.

  • One full calendar month after the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) has been filled out and signed.

If the wedding needs to be sooner than that you’ll need to apply to the Department of Births Deaths and Marriages (BDM) for a Shortening of Time Authorisation.

Please know there are only 5 circumstances under which they will grant the shortening of time. They are:

    1. Employment related or other travel arrangements.

    2. Wedding or Celebration arrangements or religious considerations.

    3. Medical Reasons.

    4. Legal proceedings or

    5. An error in giving notice to the Celebrant.

You will also need to collect evidence of why you need the shortening of time before you contact the BDM and take the completed NOIM and the evidence with you to the meeting.

  • We can use whichever medium makes you most comfortable.
